I have been accepted to the smeal college of business at altoona. i have no idea how that works since the smeal college of business is at university park, would i have to travel all the way over there for classes? i sure hope not. theres also no on campus housing left and i have no idea how the off camous housing works. are other people assigned to live with me in an apartment?
besides all of that, i was accepted to drexel universitys business school and they have a bunch of everything left since its so expensive. i like that they have a co-op program.
which school is better for business? well basically, which one is better overall? id really like to go to college in pennsylvania and these two universitys are my top choices.

While I would check with by making a phone call to Smeal, I believe the way it works is that you start your Smeal business major at Altoona and after 2 years you can transfer to Main Campus, provided that you meet the entrance to major requirements. But, double check by calling them yourself to get the accurate information.

I can definitely see the attraction of Drexel over spending 2 years at Altoona, of course its going to cost more, but you would get a great education there and also have the opportunities for internships in the Philly metro area. If cost were not considered, I’d choose Drexel over Altoona, but you’ll have to factor in ability to pay.

Another factor between Drexel and Altoona is that Altoona is small town and Philly is a big city. Also, the student body is likely to be quite different, as Drexel attracts more out of state and international students than Altoona and would be more diverse.

Good luck with your decision!
