<p>how is altoona? I heard it's one of the biggest branch campus'. How is the town? Any nightlife, parties...?</p>
<p>My Grandmother and Grandfather hail from altoona and it was my second choice for psu. (i got into main with SS). Altoona is a smaller city county seat kinda place. to alot of people in Pa, people from altoona come off little backwoodish. that mayb be so but the character there with them is priceless and you'll prolly have some great stories from living there. its half the size of main campus student wise. Parties im not to sure about never spending a night there over 13 years old, lol, but seems to be average from what i heard. ive heard of people going to altoona and staying after 2 years because they like it so much. good luck with your choice.</p>
