Just had my interview today, and I was wondering about few things:
1) How long do these interviews last? Mine was EXTREMELY long, and it made me think something is wrong.
2) Do students usually ask for the alumni's contact info, or do they give it to us?
3) How much talking is talking "too much"?

I know I'm probably freaking out over nothing right now, but I was just wondering if you guys had similar experience. Thanks in advance.

As an alumni interviewer (and current Georgetown parent), I offer you the following thoughts:
There is no prescribed length for the interview. They generally last anywhere between 45 minutes and 90 minutes, however, I have done ones as short as 30 minutes and as long as two hours. Unless you feel there was a considerable amount of time devoted to discussing a particular “issue”, I wouldn’t worry about it.
Regarding alumni contact information, you should already have his/her email as it would have been provided to you to set up the interview in the first place. A brief thank you note shortly after the interview, perhaps reiterating any important points discussed during the interview, is always a good idea. If for some reason you don’t have the information, it is fine to ask for it if the interviewer doesn’t offer first.
The interview is supposed to be about you! The interviewer has almost no information about you except your address and your high school (we do not receive your grades, test scores, courses, EC’s, etc.) Unless you have provided a resume before the interview, the interviewer will know nothing about you, so it is appropriate for you to do a good amount of talking. Having said that, you should be organized and focused in your thoughts. Your objective should be to paint a picture of yourself that you would like the interviewer to convey to the university.

I had my interview two weeks ago and it lasted around 45 minutes. We had it at night and at a starbucks. He had to leave for work early in the morning (flies out to D.C.) and usually goes to bed at like 8:30 so he couldn’t make the interview longer (we both lived pretty far from the meet up spot) I think we mostly talked about me but I also asked him questions about his experience at Gtown and he volunteered info as well.
