Alumni Interview VS Video Portfolio

Which option are you choosing and why? I personally feel like a video portfolio would mainly be beneficial for somebody who has an artistic background or many things that weren’t showcased in the application, but please correct me if I’m wrong!

I am also applying to Brown and am very torn as to what I should choose. The video would directly show the admissions officers who I am, but the interview would just give them a piece of paper from the interviewer. However, an interview is more conventional and could possibly bear more weight? We have until the 9th to decide.

I’m in the same boat. Any ideas anyone?

I think if you can satisfactorily present yourself in a two-minute video and prefer not to talk to a live person, you should choose video portfolio. If not, choose the interview. (https://www.brown.edu/admission/undergraduate/apply/first-year-applicants/alumni-interview)

Interview is about 30 minutes or longer. This video portfolio thing is so new. No one has any experience with it.
