Alumni Interview

First and foremost, just wanted to apologize if this has already been asked, but I was wondering how much, if any, consideration is taken in the alumni interviewer's reports. I know that obviously not everyone has an alumni interview, so kids who don't have them wouldn't be at a disadvantage necessarily, but can it help someone (a hopeful EDIIer, for example...) who has a really good interview?

I'm just in a really good mood because I just had my alumni interview a few hours ago and I thought it went just great.

I'm sure it won't harm you at all :)

Yay that is the perfect reply! Haha! :)

I think that it is important that you get your personality across in your interview, which I may not have fully done during mine, so it's so awesome that you were able to be yourself (from what I understand) and that you had a great interview. I don't know how much an interview helps or harms, but like 3.7 student stated, it will certainly not harm you, hopefully it helps :).

Tufts alumni interviews are, as you know, optional. That's why if you are not good in interviews, you might want to pass. If you are great, it might help slightly. The interviews are usually more to make a connection with an applicant, and to engender (or increase) enthusiasm, than they are a material factor in an application.
