Alumni Interviews

Is it a big deal if I did not request an alumni interview?

In my experience not really. At competitive places it’s really more for the applicant so they can learn more about the school, than for the school to learn about the applicant. This is because interviews are pretty subjective and unstandardized and places that get tons of applicants and aren’t safety schools don’t care about using demonstrated interest to increase yield.

it can be a way to show interest and i got into vanderbilt early for rd into the mosaic multicultural one of the 300 accepted early but i didnt get the merit scholarships. its not too important.
