Alumni

Not sure if this is in the right place. My apologies if it isn't

My grandmother attended the University of Pennsylvania in the 1950s but never actually received a degree.

I know Penn likes its alumni and it helps your chances of getting in during the early decision process, so does it matter if she never received the degree?

Every school defines legacy differently “At Penn, legacy is defined as having a parent or grandparent graduate from any of Penn’s undergraduate or graduate schools.” <a href=“Answers From the Admissions Dean of the University of Pennsylvania, Part 2 - The New York Times”>Answers From the Admissions Dean of the University of Pennsylvania, Part 2 - The New York Times; (I found this with a one minute google search). If she has continuously donated to the school maybe that would help though.

I’m able to put it on the common application as an alumni who has not received a degree.
