<p>I would hesitate to say that your SAT is too low because these schools don't have minimum score cutoffs or anything, but at the same time you will not get into Harvard without giving them a very compelling reason for accepting you.</p>
<p>columbia student: thats pretty cool news. that student deserves it all despite what they have said of him. i know that the SAT can make a big difference in admission and i know i got to bring them up to bolster my chances. i will try hard to bring them up and work hard in school. and what happened to that guy who got into stanford brings my hopes up but i will still try harder than that...</p>
<p>I pretty much agree with all the other posters on here, just get your sat scores up and make sure you come off as a uniquely interesting person. I'm a junior URM planning to apply to "top" schools next year as well, so good luck to us both!</p>
<p>That guy was seriously hooked. URM + a ridiculous amount of good ECs. You said you have some decent ECs. You need to raise your SAT drastically to make up for your ECs.</p>
