I’m a sophomore biology and biotechnology and since I just decided to try for pre med I’m way behind so I decided to enroll in chemistry, physics and bio but am I an idiot for that lol. I asked the question yesterday if I choose enroll in which type of chemistry and physics and now I’m doubting it because I’m scared that my gpa will suffer
No current advice for you or at your school but I took chem, physics, biology, calculus at the same time eons ago. We were on the quarter system and I just hunkered down and thought of it as “survivor” in 10-12 week spurts. I made it through but it was tough I’m not gonna lie. I didn’t have an “A” in those classes but “good enuf”. All the science courses had corresponding labs also. So…good luck! on whatever you decide.
@rosemess9 Perhaps one of the more experienced/knowledgeable posters will chime in but from what I understand GPA is extremely important for med school apps (and GMAT). Science GPAs are the most important and I doubt “good enuf” will cut it. Since you seem to be heading down a pre med track, keep that in mind when you select your classes. If you were my kiddo, I would also strongly suggest discussing the wisdom of this course load with your advisor. Good luck!
