Well alot of the kids from my school are graduating early with the senior class and this really annoys me. I feel like i've worked hard 4 years of my life and they only took like 2 extra classes at a JuCo and they get to yell "'07" everywhere like it was their year to begin with.

i mean, i have a few friends who shud b juniors now but are graduating. im still koo with them but i am still angry when i see them wear our senior sweatshirts...lol.

I don't think you understand all the work invovled in graduating early. If you did you probably wouldn't resent them, you would actually pity them. Yeah, you are sort of hating.

So what? Why does it matter? They are only a year or two younger...it doesn't mean they are smarter. Some of those kids I know who skipped grades are pretty ignorant.

Besides I'll be driving this year (sophomore) and they'll have to wait their junior or senior year.

Jman2306, I had to wait till my senior year before I could drive and I'm neither ignorant nor immature. I'd actually say I'm one of the most mature in my class.

Who really cares when they graduate? It has NO impact on your life whatsoever. Maybe if they just popped into your grade and pushed your rank back, but the "reasons" you give are pathetic.

i can sorta understand why you'd be resentful - its like, they're not part of your classes or your life, they're not part of the grade; it must feel really weird. To graduate with the friends and people you've known for so long is something special, and i guess i'd feel confused if some people in the grade below me suddenly became part of the graduating class. i'd be like, "umm"

however, i guess the best part of it is just to ignore them and dont let your resentment ruin your fun senior year for you!

haha this is really funny! Um, you are DEF being a hater. Who cares? They worked hard to graduate early. Besides, it's not that great...I mean, wouldn't you rather walk with your class?

It is not hard to graduate early. By the end of 10th grade, I'll have 4 credits in Math, 2 in English, 3 in Science (took Biology in 8th grade), 3 in Social Studies, 3 in Spanish (finished 3rd year of spanish last year), and 4 credits in electives.

All I have to do in 11th grade is finish 2 more credits in English, 1 in Science, and 2 in electives. Then I can graduate early, but would I do that? Definately not....I really don't see the point of graduating early. My transcript, GPA, SAT/ACT scores, and ranking would look much better if I were to graduate with 4 years of high school rather than 3. Besides, my school requires everyone to do a senior project, so I couldn't graduate junior year if I wanted to :D .

And Penn_dreamer, if you look at my previous post, not once did I say that everyone who graduates early is ignorant (I said SOME) and not once did I mention the word "immature".

No I don't think you are a hater. You would be if you resent them for graduating early. But it seems like you just feel awkward when they claim to be in your class but they're really...not. I know how that feels. There is a bond between members of a graduating class that goes back for years and years (high school and usually middle school, at least) that can't be emulated by others who graduate a year early. It's fine to graduate early but they are really, in some ways, less a part of the class of '07 than those who aren't. I never really understood why people want to graduate early anyway.

I had to move up a grade when i moved to America a few months ago from another country. I had way too many credits. I actually didn't want to move up a grade b/c i wanted more time to study for the SATs and build my school GPA. Lol so i'm the complete opposite of u! I'd rather be a junior right now than a senior.
