I had a job in food service from sophomore to junior year, but had to quit.</p>

<p>My intended major is Art History, I want to go for an MA in Art Conservation</p>

<p>What do you think about my chances? Can you suggest me any safeties? Are there any colleges you feel really don't belong?</p>

<p>(And on an unrelated note, the University of Delaware wants me to explain any drops in grades. I got a C in a one semester online German class because after my grandpa died last year I had a bit of a nervous breakdown. That's also why I quit my job and don't have much in the way of ECs. However, I am well aware of the stigma attached to a chronic mental illness so should I just say my grandpa died and be done with it?)</p>

<p>For BU and Delaware you have great chances. Don't really know the others much.</p>

<p>Why aren't you reaching higher? I'm sure you can a bit more ambitious with your schools.</p>

<p>Really? Well I guess I'm trying to be as level-headed as possible. Hence all the publics.</p>

<p>Despite my good looks and winsome personality, I'm not nearly as impressive as most posters on this board. (Plus a lot of top schools require SAT II, and I'm not putting myself through that horror.) My "no chance" schools were always Stanford or Cornell. I guess in all my college searching I got jaded and decided it wasn't worth applying. If I've got the time maybe I'll go for one.</p>

<p>I was looking at the University of Washington in Seattle too. Any opinions?</p>

<p>Look, you are in top 10%, have a good GPA, involved in many out of school academic courses, and have decent extracurrics. Even a slight increase in apps will make you eligible for many strong private institutions.</p>

<p>Any chance of breaking 30-31 on the ACT? That would really put you on the next level. or the SAT, maybe?</p>
