Chance?

Hello! This is my first and probably only post on College Confidential, but I have seen others who have asked to be "chanced" and I would love it if someone would assess my credentials.

I am applying to University of Maryland at College Park, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Brown, Cornell, Barnard College, Columbia University, Boston University, Georgetown University (EA), and New York University.

Here are my stats:

-Region: Western North Carolina
-SATs: 700 CR 700 W 650 M
-ACTs: 30 Composite-- 33 CR 30W 29M 27S
-GPA: 3.97 Unweighted
-APs: So my school does not offer very many APs, but I took AP Gov and AP Comp last year and scored fives on both exams. I am taking three AP classes this year: Calc AB, Lit, and Human Geography
-Rank: 3/277
-Extracurricular: JSA, Student Council, Class Officer, Girl Scouts, Key Club, City Youth Council, Beta Club, Environmental Club-- all of which I have held an officer position if applicable
-Job Experience: I have worked for a local art museum for three years
-I have received numerous academic awards in English, History, Music, and Science
-Legacy: I am a legacy at Cornell, Columbia, and Georgetown
-Obviously everyone will not be able to see my essays, but they are passionate and well written.

I would so appreciate it if someone would chance me for my schools, thanks!

Oh, and I have taken three subject matter tests-- Bio E:640 Literature: 720 US History:710

UNC-CH is a match to safety in-state.
Maryland at College Park = Honors College offer likely, but do your parents have $40,000 out of pocket? (you wouldn’t qualify for merit, I think, and there’s no financial aid for OOS applicants)
Barnard College = reachable reach
Boston University = match
Brown, Cornell, Columbia University, Georgetown University (EA) = very big reaches, more unlikely than average despite legacy status. You may get into one of them, but don’t expect anything from this group. If you’re admitted, it’ll be a good surprise, if not, you’ll have tried.
New York University = academic match, but NYU is known for its lousy financial aid, so that you’d need at least 40,000 to be able to afford it.

Thanks for the advice, especially about NYU and Barnard. I always knew that any ivy and Georgetown were really big reaches, but I was a little more unsure about those two.
