Am I competitive to apply to Vanderbilt, Pepperdine, UNC Chapel Hill, UVA, Clemson?

Hello All,
I am just looking for a few responses to help estimate my chances of getting into a few competitive schools. I am a junior in the beginning stages of the college search, and my parents don’t seem to be much help, because they seem to believe that I will be able to get into the schools I am interested in, but I am not as sure, because I feel like some of my grades are a little low.
To start off with my credentials-

Cumulative HS GPA (weighted): 4.25

Current (Junior Year) Course Load :
AP Language/Composition
AP U.S. History
AP Calculus AB
AP Chemistry
Physics HN
French 5

Previous AP Courses:
AP World History (I received a 3 on the exam)

Sports:
1 Year JV Lacrosse
2-Years Varsity Lacrosse
3- Years (6 Seasons [winter/fall]) Varsity Dance Team

Extracurriculars:
National Honor Society Member
Student Government (Body) Member
National English Honor Society Member
National French Honor Society Member
French Club Member
(100+ Volunteer Hours)

Recently Applied to the VA Governor’s School for Agriculture, made it past regional and school-wide level, waiting to hear from the state

SAT: ( I have not taken it yet, this is my most recent mock test score)
1950

I know my SAT should be much higher and I believe it will improve, but am I at all a contender for the schools listed above? I am just not sure.

Oh and BTW, my in-state would be UVA, I live in VA!

Thanks

I would say that you definitely get into Clemson and probably Pepperdine and UVA, but the rest are probably all reaches. Definitely try to get some leadership positions to boost your resume.

I think your chances are very good at Clemson, but nobody can make a meaningful assessment without actual test results. I recommend taking both the SAT and the ACT. Your test scores will be of interest, because your GPA and rigor seem very good, but the 3 on your only AP isn’t particularly good. If your AP scores this year aren’t better, and your other tests aren’t very high, it will appear that your high school grades are somewhat inflated. Vanderbilt is probably out of reach with less than a 2100. Did you take the PSAT? That is usually a better predictor than any “mock test.” I think it’s usually best to sit for the ACT and SAT twice apiece.
