Am I Crazy to try this?

Okay, i faced with a number of dilemmas here: USC v UCB, business v. med, etc
but this is the USC forum so one problem at a time.
I was accepted in the the Marshall School of Business but am also consider transfering to letters and sciences to do pre med. I haven't decided between which career path.
Is it possible/not insanely difficult to complete the Marshall requirements for a B.B.A. as well as the pre med requirements and still have a good chance of success medical school?

Pros:
USC's business school is moderately good
Accepted into the Global Leadership Program, which is very appealing
If i fail to get into med school, i have a back up career (i can see myself doing both)

Cons:
I might not graduate in time or spread myself thin and fail to get a great business or pre med education

Can any current USC students shed light on how hard pre med or how hard marshall is? or if any current USC students know of someone doing this track?

USC has a Natural Science Minor that covers all of the required pre-med classes which will fit nicely with your business degree and prepare you for the MCAT. Yes…Marshall and science classes will be challenging.

it can be done. few pre-med students do stay double majors through graduation, but those who do are thankful!

GLP is AWESOME! (i was and still am very involved with the program)

and marshall classes are indeed difficult. marshall students aren’t as cutthroat as pre-med students are (much more collaborative and practical in those regards).

you will most likely need to do at least one summer of classes in order to fulfill both majors, just a heads up

you don’t need to do two majors. being pre-med won’t be like taking on another major. you’ll just be doing a minor. you were accepted to marshall. i think you’re capable of majoring in business admin and taking on a minor (natural science).

thanks for the reply guys! they were really helpful; but I am having doubts of my own ability to pull this off.

The only thing is that the minor doesn’t really overlap with the major, so that might make things more difficult

Can anyone comment on the grading distributions of marshall (marshall curve i heard of) and of the pre-med classes?

With this schedule will i have time to go abroad (and preferably complete my classes) at the same time?
