here are my very horrid stats again. 1st sem 2.3 :( :(, 2nd sem 3.0 :(. since most people apply to med school during the spring sem of their junior year...does that mean that med schools will only look at the grades that I receive till that date, or will they also factor into account the grades i would get in my senior year?

im asking because the highest possible gpa i can get is a 3.6...(assuming i dont have a year like this again) but that includes my senior semesters, without those semesters my gpa would probably be sginificantly lower...so is it worth even applying to med school or should i look into a different career path???

After that start it would be wise to consider applying after senior year grades are in. Many people do. Many people apply later than that. But if you want to give up now and beat the rush, it’s your call.

Like Curm said, it would probably be wise to wait until after your senior year to apply. Obviously, this would mean a year off in between undergrad and med school, but that is extremely common at this point. Med schools are also pretty understanding of a poor first semester of college, especially if the rest of your work is up to par. You’re certainly not “done for”
