another problem is.... im out of state, but I attend a school in NC.

How can improve my chances? Im completely freaking out right now

I put this in the wrong thread!

Enough for what? For a great school, I’m sure. Buckle down and get the grades you want and the SAT you want, and then worry about where you’ll apply. Someone with the grades and scores you aspire to would be a great applicant for, for example, the women’s colleges. Check out Smith College, Mt. Holyoke, Bryn Mawr: all excellent schools, with a good track record for the kind of student you present yourself to be.

for UNC Chapel hill!

Yeah um, UNC- Chapel Hill isn’t going to happen. Sorry. Having all A’s means nothing when you are a few weeks into school. It’s easy to want to maintain a 4.0, but actually doing it is different. Going from 3.0 to 4.0 is a huge and drastic turn around. You’re setting yourself up for failure. Set smaller, more manageable goals like “This semester, I want to maintain at least a 3.5”. Also, your SAT score will need to be higher than 1800. UNC is very competitive and the average SAT score will only increase as time goes on.

Just wanted to let you know, AnnieBeats. I got that 4.00 (;

Oooh, kill 'em.
Waiiit. Don’t we still have a month and a half of school for the first semester?
