Am I guaranteed to get accepted to CSU Northridge?

So I am not from Los Angeles, I am from out of town. I know that if you live in the local area, you get first choice. My gpa is a 3.3, and my sat is a 1400. I personally don't want to wait til May, and find out that I didn't get accepted. My major is Cinema, Television, and Visual; Arts.

No you aren’t guaranteed admission.

If you completed all the a-g requirements, they will use the info you submitted to calculate a CSU Index and rank you against other applicants. They stack eligible applicants by indext and draw the line when the seats are full. I think that was around 3300 last year.

Index = SAT M&R +CSU GPA*800

For GPA, they use just college prep classes from 10-11, ignore +/- and cap AP bonus points at 8 semesters. For most people, CSU GPA is lower than overall.

If your CSU GPA is 3.3 and your M&R SAT is 933, your index would be 3573. That’s probably good enough again last year. They won’t know until all the aps are in.

Good luck.
