Am I likely to get into...Wisconsin-Madison, UGA, USC, Illinois-Champaign, Michigan, Northwestern??

I am currently a sophomore in high school. I am on my high school girl’s lacrosse team, and have been my freshman and sophomore year so far. I hope to make the cheerleading team at my school next year as well. I have had a job for five months so far. I volunteer at a local hospital, and plan on volunteering at my town’s local animal shelter as much as I can as well. I am in a club at my high school called “Tau Gamma”. This club incorporates a wide variety of volunteer work and fundraising. Right now, I am in my sixth level of honors Spanish. By the time I graduate from my high school, I will have completed ten levels of honors/ap Spanish. Although this year I have only taken honors Spanish and honors English (the rest of my classes this year are college prep), I am going to be taking all advanced placement and honors classes my junior and senior years. Right now I have a 3.5 grade point average. I admit I slacked my freshman year, leaving me with two c’s each semester. The first semester of my sophomore year, I got two c’s, but now I have all a’s and one b in chemistry my second semester. I plan on working harder on my junior/senior grades, only allowing one b per semester. I will be taking both the ACT and SAT tests, and will have tutoring for those tests.

Understanding these schools are very competitive in admissions, I am highly concerned that I will not be accepted. What do you recommend I do to better myself toward having a higher chance of acceptance? Your feedback is appreciated!

I will chance back!

WIsconsin Madison - High Match
UIUC - High Match/Low Reach (based on your major)
UMich - Reach
USC - Reach

These schools are tough to get into, but your ECs are amazing and yes, you’ve to work on your GPA indeed. Assuming you do get a GPA of above a 3.7 and ACT/SAT score of 30+/2050+ I do think you’ve a good chance. Best of luck, keep working hard.

@Digitallyshrewd‌ Thank you so much! I will try my best!
