I have always considered myself hispanic, but one of my grandparents is from Peru and is of full Native South American descent.
He lived in a very rural and uneducated area when he was young and can still speak Quechua and Spanish.
I am of 1/4 Quechuan descent; does this qualify me?

You would need to check individual university policies. “Native American” usually refers to one who is enrolled in a federally-recognized tribe (or its First Nations equivalent in Canada).

Moving this to the Hispanic Students forum because this issue has been discussed here before. Use the Search function for ‘NA’ or ‘Native American’ to find relevant threads.
