I really want to apply Early Decision to Human Ecology because I am in love with the school! I want to major in Human Biology Health & Society.

Mainly I am concerned with whether I am a fit for the college, if they would look at me and want to accept me.
Please read this to the bottom, there is an explanation of my current situation.

Asian Female
U.S. Citizen
English first language

GPA - 3.93 I took as many honors and AP classes my school offers. Barely any juniors take APs and I took one. Grade drop sophomore year (2 B's) because I was working a lot. See further explanation below.

SATs - 2230 (multiple sittings) - 710 V, 790 M, 730 W - will retake in October. My highest single sitting was a 2170.

SAT IIs - 800 Math IIC, 730 Spanish, 620 Biology E (I'm retaking it - hopefully it will go up.)

ACT - 34

APs - Statistics - 5

ECs related to my major - City district internship, 14 interns selected in the entire district, I did research at a rewowned cancer center 35 hours a week for 10 weeks this summer. I'm writing a research paper and submitting it for competitions and also creating a scientific poster.
- Previous summer I did an internship also, around 5 hours a week for 6 weeks, in an archaeochemistry lab.
- Volunteered at the state hospital for 2 years, 4 hours a week.
- President of Health Occupational Students of America division at my high school. We do fundraisers like HIV/AIDS Awareness walks and volunteer at the hospital and also compete in state/national level competitions. Basically for anyone interested in a medical profession. 2 years, 5 hours a week.

OTHER ECs - Violin, 7 years, 10 hours a week, State symphony orchestra, Section leader of city chamber group, high school orchestra.
- Design graphics - 2 years, First place State Art Education Association Regional Show, Yearbook editor-in-chief, recipient of school Yearbook Scholarship.
- Tutoring - peer tutoring program at school, also have tutored Korean children since I was in 5th grade every summer and throughout the school year.
- Volunteering at the Senior Center - 4 hours a week at a Senior Center kitchen, serving dinner to the elderly.
- My counselor will probably write in her recommendation that I've done numerous school activities such as Class Council, Student Council, Senior Citizens, Freshman Advisory, etc. to help out. These individually take up less of my time so I don't feel a need to put it on my application.

ESSAYS/RECS - No one can say what their recs will be like, but mine are from my AP statistics teacher who has written me a recommendation before (for the internship), and also my physics teacher, who wrote me a rec for the internship and also a violin scholarship. So two math/science teachers.

EXTRA - My dad went to Brown U and Univ Wisc-Madison. Graduated with a PhD. But the thing is, he has never had a real job (not a U.S. citizen, so it's extremely hard, especially in his field - anthropology). He has always been unemployed. This was so hard on us that my mom (graduated from college in Korea) had to work illegally at a restaurant and bring home wads of cash to support us. She worked so much that she got sick and was diagnosed with cancer when I was in middle school. Luckily she is okay now, but we do not have health insurance. My dad is out in the world looking for jobs, so he doesn't live with us anymore. We live below the poverty level. I think I will get my counselor to write in her rec about my situation. I'm not trying to use this to get in, but I want to show that this is what I have made of our family's economic disadvantage. I have had to quit many of my most prized extracurriculars because of money problems.
Also, I had a grade drop because at one point during sophomore year I was the only person in the family making income.

To everyone who read this thank you so much, I really appreciate you helping me out.
