How much does getting a 590 on math IIC hurt you if everything else is GREAT?

I dunno, it just means that you pretty much blow at math. If you're like a publsihed author or a half Native American/half African American I'm sure that Harvard will grudgingly overlook the low score and still accept you.

YOWZA. Retake, dude.

sign up for the jan. test date NOW! what could you lose?

Depends on your major. I don't think it would really matter for a humanities major, but it will obviously hurt your chances for anything math related.

Study and retake if you're looking into any semi-decent school. The Math IIc has an easy curve and colleges know it.

I'm looking to major poli sci.... this was already my second time taking it! I get every single question that I answer correct but the problem is that I do not have enough time to answer enough questions (only about 25/50). I thought that the december testing dates were the last ones for schools?

I know colleges are supposed to look only at the highest scores, but even if you get an 800, dont you think the adcoms will still think about the 590?

yes u r screwed but its a lesson, u need to do more practise and take it again, then u r fine

Goldfish

No not really. Its much easier to screw up and do poorly on a test than fluke through one and get a highscore.

l4ur3nz0. Ya its going to hurt if December was the last month to take SATs, but some colleges will accept january tests (you should check). SAT IIs are weighed differently for different schools, but you are by no means totally screwed.
