I took the SAT Math IIC this may and pretty much had a panic attack in the middle. I got a 600 which I know isn't good. Without going into long drawn out details, all of my other stats are good (SATS about 2200, two other SAT II's w/ scores 750+, good ECs, hardest classes...)

Some of the more competitive schools I'm thinking of applying to are: Northwestern, UVA, Wake Forest, Stanford, Wesleyan, Vanderbilt.

So basically, will this one bad score really hurt my chances and should I try to take it again? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

P.S.--I'm not planning to major in math or science!

If a school only asks for scores from 2 tests, would I even have to put the math down? Do schools get a report from college board with all of your scores?

what are your other two SAT II subjects...and what is your major? If your major is math/science related, you're gonna wanna take it again, b/c given the curve (and I know you already know this) that Math IIC score is downright awful. Remember that they're gonna see that score b/c all your SAT scores are sent when you have a score report sent...you may want to retake to show determination to do better.

lol-i have those in the middle of the CR sat 1 test. Just feeling like you have no control over what's going on. Scary sh it.Just practice, gain confidence and take it again.

no problem hegel07...i'm sure you'll do better given your scores on the other tests...i too had a panic attack on IIC and left 10 blank! I scored a 740 and will be taking it again...for Math IIC, I'd say a "good" score is 770+, just because you can completely skip 10 questions and still get an 800...evidently I missed a/b 6 ontop of that. :)

lol i dunno i skipped ten and i know i got quite a few wrong and still got a 740...but i know it's more than 5...i've heard some ppl say 7 or 8, but have also heard it was 10.

it'd be nice if they'd send me my score report already.
