I'm looking to go into engineering and my first choice is University of Delaware. i'm a decentstudent 3.918 gpa/4.671 weighted gpa all honors and ap classes, member of the national honor society, student council, whos who for academics and sports, 33/400 in a blue ribbon schol, 4 varsitiy letters, however i just took the april sat and bombed it, its my first time taking it and i got a 1600 what do you think my chances are of getting into this school with a score like that? I would really apprciate your help. I hope my goals aren't to high

anyone?....

dude, relax you're fine

University of Delaware isn't one of the most highly selective colleges, so i doubt you getting a 1600/2400 the first time taking the SAT will make a huge difference. Just buckle down and study to prepare for the next SAT test date and try to bump it up a few hundred points. your other stats seem very, very nice

jet i could kiss you right now...hopefully your a girl

You're fine. =] Don't worry. Just in crease a few points, or even don't. You'll be fine.

A sense a case of test anxiety. That would be my conclusion if I were an adcom.

You have awesome stats. I wouldn't worry too much about the SAT test.

P.S. Maybe CB screwed your test up? Did you feel a'ight while taking the test?

No i new i messed it up especially the math. However, i was surprised with the writing which was my lowest score 500 i thought i did decent on the mc and i only got an 8 on the essay-which i thought i killed. Whatever i no i can do better than a 1600 though it just suck at taking standarized test

Ah, ok.

Well, study hard! But I stick to what I said-- you are already an excellent applicant.

it just isn't fair i tutor this kid in my ap calc class and i he gets a 670 and i get a 560...damn SAT

You are totally fine man, my sister was just like you, and got a 1180/1600 and still got into Bucknell University.

Nah you'll be fine. SATs are only just one part of your application. Don't stress, but it couldn't hurt to retake.

Thanks alot felllas you really made me feel better. i know i can do better i just dont no how much
