I got powned, Bowles quad room. Bowles was not even in one of my options when I submitted my Housing Applications. Is there ANY way to change this? Petition? I seriously hate this.

why don't you call the housing people?

same here- quad at bowles which wasnt even on my list- housing will definitely be hearing from me. i hope its not to late to fix this!

After the first two weeks of the semester, you can APPLY for housing transfer. BUT the housing office don't allow you any sort of preference. If you're in Foothill and you want Unit 2 do not be surprised if you get Bowles if you're a guy or Stern if you're a girl.

From the other thread-

Feel free to call them, although it might not affect much. What you should do is right them an email and or snail-mail stating your situation and a list of say six other choices you would prefer. I know people who have been lucky in this way and were moved. Good luck!

A quad at bowles is really a suite with two doubles each.

I'm stuck with you. Let's get to know each other. We can hit up stern and scope out some nighttime leisure companions.

It's not the end of the world. And calling them right now won't help too much if you're rude. The fact is that there are thousands of other students who are requesting rooms and you just happened to be sorely unlucky to get a high lottery number and didn't get your top choices. Over 60% of students usually get their first three choices.

Housing doesn't guarantee that you will get your top choices anyway...it's just that most students do get their choice.

No...if Berkeley teaches you anything, it is how to deal with the s&!t stick.
