This is kind of a weird question considering everyone doesn't like studying. Well i'm studying for the SAT, i study about like a good 3-5 hours straight each day everyday, am i studying TOO much? I'm really dedicated and I'm willing to put in the time and effort to get a good score on the SAT, my family isn't very rich, my dad is the only one working so we can't afford a SAT prep class :/, but it's okay studying by myself is fine with me, i have the blue book, kaplan's SAT math workbook(after i'm done i plan on buying a book specifically for the harder math problems), i plan on buying books for CR and writing, any suggestions for those?

I don’t think so. I’m actually studying a few hours a day more than you. :P

I don’t think prep classes are worth it unless you’re the average student, and by average I mean B’s and C’s, etc.

Oh, how much do you study each day? Well i got a 3.75 GPA’s and a 4.0 semester but, then i didn’t take any AP’s so i don’t know if the 3.75 matters because i didn’t take any AP classes

your GPA has nothing to do with how well you do on the SAT

I was replying Buzz22’s comment

cuo741, when are you planning on taking the SAT? are you a rising senior?

@mickjagger : Um no I’m a incoming junior right now and i plan on taking my first SAT in october.

Your not studying too much, your work now will pay off later!!
Books:
You must get the barrons 2400 prep book, like you said you need harder math problems and in b2400 math is significantly harder than the real sat so you feel very confident about doing it. Don’t worry about sat classes, what they mostly do is just outline certain books.

Good luck!!

Buzz, you’re studying 7 hours a day for the SAT?

I did 2 practice tests today. Thats 8 hours
2170 and 2200

To be honest, I wish I could study as much as you are… I frustrate in CR esp. and avert myself from even looking at an SAT books.

You’re FINE. Not even a senior yet. No te preocupes!

7 hours a day for the ACT now. SAT just isn’t my thing. I do significantly better when a test asks me questions that are somewhat relevant to what I’ve learned, not some tricky BS.

But the reason I’m studying so much is because I’ve never studied this stuff in my life and senior year is about to start and I’m not a great test taker. I’ll write a kickass essay any day or win any debate tournament or speech contest, learn calculus with an easy A, but when it comes to this junk I just totally fail.

I love you.

This person on yahoo answers told me that i’m studying too much, i used to study like 2 extra hours, or study most of the day if i have time.

I study 30 mins a day, if that.

t cuo741: i was also responding to his post.

There are people in yahoo answers who have no ambition. If you want to get somewhere in life then you have to work for it. Do the work now, thats what separates the employess from the employers honestly.

You probably don’t want to take life advice from people on Yahoo Answers. They’re more often than not examples of what not to think and how not to act. Would you take advice from the 40 year-old divorced high school dropout who chats with teenage girls online in the public library?

Or maybe my neighborhood is unusual. :P

I dont think your studying too much. its good that your studying…it shows that you really want a good score. but make sure that studying is paying off.

You may be studying a lot, but make sure it’s efficient
