<p>haha, i suppose, because on the site, they "strongly suggest" SAT IIs, although they do not "require" them...so most people have probably taken them to increase their chances of admission</p>

<p>SAT IIs are not required but recommended by NYU. Translate this stance as: TAKE THE SAT IIs...almost all successful applicants to NYU have taken them.</p>

<p>I took two SAT IIs, but I also took the ACT (which can be used in the place of all SATs). I got a University Day letter, so I'm assuming I was accepted too...</p>
