I don’t know which would be worse, being the person turning over the rock or the partner sitting there watching and waiting it out.
I really admire the relationship the guys have.

Finale tonight!
Dang, I’ll have to avoid spoilers till tomorrow!
I was late so missed the boat thing. What was that about?
Really happy with the ending.
Boats had names on them, some were Portuguese explorers, others were more contemporary celebrities (soccer player Ronaldo, for example). They had to choose one with an explorer’s name and row it over to the judge. If they did not choose an explorer they had to row back and try again.
Great finale. Good to see there was a real race to the end. Too bad the team that finished third made so many mistakes or it really could have been a 3 team race. The winners were not my favorites, but deserved it as they played a very good game.
Kim & Penn put together a great compilation video. WARNING SPOILERS ARE INCLUDED. Their podcast will be later today but, if you already watched the show, the compilation video is great.
I wish they would have shown us all of the options for the final challenge. We didn’t see that there were 4 choices for coins or two (or more) Napoleons. It would have been fun for the viewers to test their memory and see where the teams were making mistakes.
Also, in the compilation video I posted above, they share that Dusty was at the rock challenge for 4 hours and that Kim & Penn left the Bonaventure (elevator challenge) hotel first. The edit makes it seem that the girls left first.
Why did the guys have to paint the door knob? It didn’t look like any of the other teams had to. Who would think to paint that? Deserving winners though. All 3 finalists deserved to be there.
I noticed the same thing about the door knob.
I just watched the finale and thought exactly the same thing!
Super happy with the results. I was so freakin nervous! Good competitive race. All 3 teams stellar competitors. You could feel the stress in the last episode
I will watch the compilation tomorrow!
All said, a really good season.
Oldest winners ever!
I’d have to go back and re-watch, but the doorknob that needed to be painted was in the middle of the door–perhaps the others were on the edge, out of the design???
I just looked at that challenge on paramount+, the other 3 door knobs were the original brass, 2 on the right (but still painted around), 1 in the middle.
True it was the only doorknob to be painted but also they wouldn’t know whether any other doors needed a painted door knob. I mean, did all the doors need lettering filled in black like Kim and Penn? They all had variations. Actually Kim and Penn’s seemed a little more intricate than the others.
Do we know if a new season has started filming or if there are plans for a new season? I mean, I’m guessing probably no not yet, but maybe this summer will allow??
It was interesting that just about every challenge was held outside. The foley artist challenge was indoors, but in a studio with only a few other people. Also interesting that at least this week, when racers asked locals for help, no one masked up, as seen in earlier episodes.
A quick google search showed that many had issues with the painted door knob, with only one of the four needing to be painted (it stood out to me because if I were tasked to paint a door, I wouldn’t think to paint the door knob).
While it was certainly frustrating for the team involved, in the end the doorknob made no difference. The team was not eliminated and they all got to start at the same time as the other teams after the plane ride.
I watched yesterday on cbs on demand, after the last elimination it started back up again with the guys on the building and the other teams had already solved it. Did they all start at the same time?
Yes. They all started the next leg together. They showed that on the TV show. I’m surprised it was edited out of the on demand.
