Yes, those are the same time. Usually mountain time is the ‘same’ as central, which is really an hour delayed. But, if the cable company has a west coast feed for that station (not the networks like CBS) we sometimes get them on west coast time. This used to happen all the time on Disney which meant instead of my kids getting a disney movie at 7 or even 6 mountain time, it would be 9! Too late for them. Now it is only a few cable station that come with that west coast feed, like TLC. Most, especially the news outlets like CNN or MSNBC, we are getting on east coast feed, so at 6pm.

Live TV of course comes live, so Sunday night football is at 6:20.

First world problem

I thought a lot of their story was covered.

Kudos to Morgan and Lena.

I guess “evolution” was what I really meant. Anyway, while not one of the teams I am rooting for, I didn’t want them to leave yet.

The team that got U turned was almost an hour ahead. I wonder if the other teams decided to U turn them to avoid a huge disadvantage to one of the trailing teams. Seems like if you are in the back of the pack, better to Uturn a team that might beat you. Certainly was an advantage for the former Team #2,

Was also sorry to see the team that lost go home, but someone had to!

Good episode The challenges were interesting.

At the printing challenge, I thought they said that Steve and Anna Leigh were 1.5 hours ahead. If so, u-turning them did what it should have - put them in more equal footing with the rest.

I think Greg and John are a threat, but very well liked. I was surprised that all of the votes went to just two teams. I wondered if there were some alliances and discussions that occurred at the previous pit stop.

Steve & Anna Leigh received votes from Greg & John, Robbin & Chelsea, Rob & Corey, Andrea & Malaina, and Joel & Garrett

Robbin & Chelsea received votes from Steve & Anna Leigh, Liam & Yeremi, Morgan & Lena and Ashley & Todd.

Morgan & Lena and Ashley & Todd were the two teams that were previously shown commenting that Robbin & Chelsea weren’t willing to work together.

Everyone waisted the U-Turn. There are many places in the race that force the teams back together. Moving a team from first to sixth was useless. Everyone should have voted for the last team. The race is about surviving to the next leg. Making it harder on the team already in last place makes everyone else more likely to move on.

Who would you have U-turned?

Robbin & Chelsea. U-turning them would have resulted in their elimination. And they don’t really come across well on TV, although editing is at play, I’m sure.

That’s who I was thinking I’d eliminate. Even though upthread I said Steve and Anna Leigh were among my favorites, I’m not sure they are as overall as competitive as a couple of other teams so I wouldn’t have voted for them.

Agree, colossal waste of the U-Turn. IMO, the correct strategy if you were at the front (maybe 1-3) would be to U-Turn the leader so that you have a better shot at first place where there is a decent reward. If you are middle/back of the pack, U-Turn a bottom team to assure your survival.

The order of the teams prior to the U-turn was

  1. Steve & Anna Leigh (8:48 am) - voted for Robbin & Chelsea - finished 7th
  2. Greg & John (9:45 am) - voted for Steve & Anna Leigh - finished 1st
  3. Joel & Garret (9:55 am) - voted for Steve & Anna Leigh - finished 3rd
  4. Andrea & Malaina (9:58 am) - voted for Steve & Anna Leigh - finished 6th
  5. Todd & Ashlie (10:03 am) - voted for Robbin & Chelsea - finished 5th
  6. Rob & Correy (10:09 am) - voted for Steve & Anna Leigh - finished 2nd
  7. Robbine & Chelsea (10:29 am) - voted for Steve & Anna Leigh - finished 8th
  8. Liam & Yeremi (10:42 am) - voted for Robbin & Chelsea - finished last
  9. Morgan & Lena (10:44 am) - voted for Robbin & Chelsea - finished 4th

Short of the two targeted teams, it looks like the top of the pack voted for Steve & Anna Leigh and the bottom voted for Robbin & Chelsea. Todd & Ashlie and Rob & Correy were in the middle and could have gone either way. Despite their 6th place finish last week, I think Rob & Correy viewed themselves as being towards the top. Sure enough, they finished in 2nd place this week.

I agree with U-turning Steve and Anna Leigh. There was no way to know how difficult the road blocks would be. They turned out to be mostly heavy lifting and dependent on having a driver who knew where she was going. It could have been something more difficult and take up more time and the others surge past them, possibly eliminating a strong team. As it turned out, they mostly pushed themselves back by not reading the clue.

I like so many of the teams this time. Rob and Corey, Greg and John, Joel and Garrett and Andrea and Malaina who have really surprised me. I thought they’d be out early. LOL at Malaina telling Anna Leigh they didn’t U-turn them and then saying she’ll find out the truth when it airs! I don’t like Robbin and Chelsea but I think they’re getting the bad edit also. I loved all the animals this week. Great camel reaction shots.

They actually would have been fourth I think, maybe even third (?) if they hadn’t forgotten to return the temple receipts. They’re a very strong team .

I thought it was funny when they were complaining about their driver, saying “everyone is passing us” and the frame froze to show Andrea & Malaina passing them.

I loved this episode! I have an internal connection with India (I often say it’s a past life memory) and loved seeing Jaipur (a place I’d like to visit) - loved the block printing and think I’d have been quite good at that. Not so with the bricks - and oooh, the flowers! I don’t think many people realize how many flowers are grown and used in India.

I was bummed at the team that was eliminated -

I’m really enjoying this season and most of the teams.

I was thinking it would be nice if the teams were able to keep the fabric - thinking how it would make great throw pillows or other items as a memory of the trip.
