AMC 12 American Mathematics Competition

A solid 100.5 :) rofl my brain shut down after I got 14 questions. Since only like 3 people qualify in my state and nobody goes over 110 I didn't really care. Lol

I got 100.5 too. LOL

We only need ~11 to qualify for USAMO.

Lol something like that.

But the way I understand it each state has to be represented buy at least one person. Is that correct? Because I then have a shot(gotta beat out the other 2 people that qualified in my state lol).

Wow I just realized that if I qualify I'll probably be the dumbest person to take it this year.

Yes, 1 at least per state.

I doubt I'll qualify though. I'm too busy scrambling to get homework turned in/ chasing girls to study. Lol

118.5 at best on the 12...
I already qualified via USAMTS though =P

Is the cutoff really 97?

Think it 97.5 on the 12a

The cutoff for the AMC 12 A 2009 contest was 97.5, however, the cutoff for the AMC 12 B 2009 contest has yet to be determined. (I'm fairly certain that the cutoff will be ~97.5)

Oh, i was talking about the 12B... did anyone take it today?

The cutoff won't be established til later. I didn't take because it's not offered by my school.

I took it and got my 100.5 (I completely guessed on two though, so it was more like 103.5).

Last year's cutoff for A was 97 but the cutoff for B was 100.

I answered 16 questions (really stupid....)

So i have to get like 15/16 to get 100, which is impossible, because i guessed on three of the 16 questions i answered.

Didn't you get the answer booklet?

I would guess the 12b cutoff is higher because less people ( and generally the ones who care more) take it.

Blueducky- if you get in nice job

I think our teacher is giving out the answers tomorrow, which is really annoying.

thanks aluminum_boat. I just want to make it even though i'm senior and i'm really just doing this for the heck of it

OMFG my friend just told me the answers and I got 14/16 right which means I got a flippin 97.5...............asdfjkl;

One of the two I missed, i originally had the right answer. Wow.

I just want an opinion on this. I'm a freshman and I got a 96 on the 12A. How is it?

Stop bragging omg. COnsidering 100 gets you to the next round, you know as a freshman 96 is a good score.

^Dude, what are you talking about? A 96 is nothing to brag about....He/she's asking an honest question.
