Yo take that doc down lol, if you give other people access to it it will ruin the curve and be a violation of the rules.
You should remove the doc asap. Per the AoPS forum international people have not yet taken the test and will only do so on saturday. This will ruin the curve.
Take these docs down now, the international people have not yet taken it.
Considerably easier than A test. Answered 16, missed 1 (maybe 2).
Hey guys. Looking for consensus here. How hard was it? was it easier than last time? thanks
How on earth could you be so stupid to post a doc on a public forum. Take it down or I will contact asministration and report you. This is a serios thing; it should be common sense to not post it publically when people in different areas take the test at different times.
I thought it was harder than the 12A, a lot of the 12A questions were easier. The 12B’s last five were much harder than anything on the A.
Do you guys think the cutoff will be lower than 100? I’m hoping so because I got high 90s.
I think it should be. Last year’s 12A was a 99 but it was much easier than this year’s. 2014’s 12A was a 93 and was similar to this. Do you guys know how long it takes for them to release our scores and cutoffs?
I don’t think comparing this contest to previous 12A’s means much since the cutoff is always lower for 12A. So even if last year’s 12A was much easier, the cutoff could still be higher for the 12B this year. How do you guys think this test compares to last year’s 12B?
Definitely harder, compare the 12B from last year from AoPS the questions are a lot simpler, this year’s first few questions were tricky too since they required multiple steps which is the opposite of last year’s.
As a ninth grader, I got creamed.
I answered nine, and definitely made one wrong answer due to a mistake while reading one question. I’m tentatively thinking that I got the rest of them correct.
The reason for so few answered was poor time management; I tried to answer them in numerical order, and got hung up on one.
The difficulty seemed to have odd spikes- many of the early and mid teens seeming easier than those closer to ten. I didn’t even get to read the later problems, although I’ll look over them now that the test is done. The proctor let us take the problems home, which is handy for discussion once the testing period is done.
I thought it was fair… I made a silly mistake and got a 94.5. Hope I make the cut-off.
after question 12 this test got hard af
answered 14, got 2 wrong
How are you guys checking your answers? Just like going back and solving them with more time or is there an answer key
I took the AMC 10B, and felt that it was harder than previous tests that I have taken, but not to the level of being unpassable.
I took the 12B, and it seemed a lot easier than 12A, when I answered 14 and got 1 wrong then, I’m pretty sure I got all 17 that I answered correctly. especially 14-21 seemed a lot easier than previous years’
Looking for people to compare answers with. PM me if interested
Why would you post the test online? Hopefully people who haven’t taken it didn’t see it. I think I got 15 right and 1 wrong. It was way easier that the past year.
