AMC10/12 compared to SATI Math/Math IIc

What are the difficulty levels of the AMC10 or AMC12 compared to SATI Math and SATII Math 2c?

Also, I'm a high school sophomore. Which one of the AMC tests should I be looking at to take? (I think I took an AMC test at middle school with the rest of my school)

The AMC10/12 is MUCH harder than SAT Math.
It is problem-solving math for a person who likes to solve challenging problems.

It depends on your ability for which test you should take. But, i think taking the AMC 10 would be fine. i think you need a 120 or more....or something like top 5%...120 is a good goal though. But if you think you can get a 100+ on the AMC 12 then go fot that...

Good luck

There's always www.artofproblemsolving.com for practice and added resources

and go kalva .... http://www.kalva.demon.co.uk/

AMC tests are pretty tough, much tougher than the AMC 8 in middle school. I am pretty decent at math and got close to a perfect in middle school. I got a 120.5 on AMC 10 freshmen year(cutoff was 114) and 106.5 on AMC 12 as a sophomore last year(cut off 100). It is easier to qualify on the AMC 12 because u can pick only 12 out of the 25 questinos to answer. IF you get them all right and leave the rest blank, u will qualify for the AIME.

Put it this way. I got 800 on SAT math in 7th grade. I am 11th grader now. I still cannot get over 10 on AIME.
