american army for non-americans

i'm interested in becoming a military pilot and i'm not american citizen nor holding any visas.
is it possible to go schooling to american army for a pilot? (the only reason is that they have a great air force)
tnx

I think you have to be a US citizen or permanent resident to join the military. And for the military academies I think you have to be a US citizen.

But foreigners can and do take civilian employment with the military.

you do not join the united states military if you are not prepared to wholeheartedly devote your life, heart, and soul to the United States of America, her people, and her warriors.

you don’t go because you think it would be cool to go to war.

this isn’t like a college where you go because they have a great department in a particular subject.

treat it like that and you will end up miserable. or dead.

i’d devote all my life and heart to my country but we have almost have no air force so i’m asking about the us.
i’d work for the states without any doubts but dont think i could love it as my country.
so ibfootballer can you tell me something concrete?

@futurenyustudent thank you for your reply.

i’m quite sure this is possible. i know my country (singapore) sends many army scholars to military schools in the US like West Point.

It is possible if you join your country’s army and get accepted into some exchange program with USMA etc…so only if the country sends you. Its not like some random college that you wish to join. Check out Military academy of Sandhurst, you might find something there.

Your country doesn’t have an air force, what do you plan to do after becoming a pilot? :P

Fly commercial jets? lol :p

Almost every stable country in the world has its own airline.

tnx guys.
lol we do have some air craft but it’s pretty small, like up to 10 planes. (there are 4.5 million people here so government thinks we dont need more nor sophisticated military planes :S)

You can go to college in the U.S. and learn how to fly many different types of planes. Look at the University of North Dakota and Embry Riddle especially.
