American boarding schools in the uk

My family is moving to england this summer. I am in 10th grade this year. So I will be applying for schools for my last two years of high school. I'm going to be a boarding student because my parents may have to move again, and I want to be in the same school for my last two years of high school. I would prefer an American curriculum with ap classes because it will be less complicated than switching to a levels. I would consider the ib program if there aren't any good ap options. I currently go to a top private school in nyc, so I don't want to switch to an easy (academically) school as I plan on applying to top universities. The only american schools with boarding that I'm aware of are tasis and acs cobham. Please tell me as much about these two schools as you can. If you know of any others please let me know. I really need help!!

There are quite a few with IB, which is a two-year program for 11th & 12th grades. You should expand your search to consider those IMHO because they will probably be more academically challenging. Sevenoaks, Shrewsbury & Marlborough are some co-ed options that I know of. The application process is different however, so you should call them to find out about deadlines etc. Good luck!

Why not simply consider American curriculum boarding schools in America?

You’ll be too late for standard applications to almost all of the top academic (UK curriculum) schools here. I know some accept later if you have money or connections, or occasionally if you’re exceptionally bright for the school. It might be best to look at specifically US schools because of this.
Remember as well that UK schooling is considered roughly a year ahead of the US, so you may not need a school as academically rigorous as you’re thinking.

How about Dwight School in London? It is an American school based in NYC and has several sister schools with IB program including London,Vancouver Island and Seoul.
