American, BU, Fordham, NYU, Northeastern, Trinity

I'm relying on CC to help me weed the unrealistic choices out. Please evaluate? :)

My ACT is a 28 (11 Essay). My GPA is around a 3.5 UW. I'm in the top quarter of my class. It has been a significant upward trend since freshman year (something like 3.1, 3.4, 3.9) Editor in chief, NHS, Council secretary, yearbook editor, and many other EC leadership/community service. I have great recs written from teachers that know me very well; I can/have written personal essays that I am very confident about.

I tried to keep this short. Let me know if I left out anything.

-American
-Boston U.
-Fordham
-NYU
-Northeastern
-Trinity College

I'm hoping to narrow this down to 3 or 4 schools.

And if this helps at all in cutting any: I am looking for a school dedicated to academics. Stealing from University of Chicago, here, but "life of the mind" is what I really, really want in a college. So if any of these really don't satisfy that... please let me know.

Thanks.

American is a match (accepted), BU is a reach but not an impossible one (waitlisted), Fordham is a match (accepted), NYU is a definite reach (waitlisted but most likely rejected), Northeastern is a match (accepted), Trinity is a reach but not an impossible one (waitlisted).

Thanks for your insight aselig01. I appreciate it.

Bumping with a smidge of hope... any other opinions? TY.
