I'm a HS senior going for an international relations / politics track and I've been admitted to all three schools (Carnegie-HSS, NYU-CAS, American-SIS). I know that CMU isn't normally seen as a top-tier politics school, but I applied for two reasons. One, the interdisciplinary opportunities are nice (especially since I'm interested in science/technology policy) and two, I love the campus and campus culture.

However, I'm very torn between the three schools as they all have their merits—American's great SIS and location, NYU's location and top tier politics program, and CMU for the reasons I mentioned above.

Cost isn't really much of a problem as all three have given me reasonably equivalent financial aid packages and the rest is manageable for my family.

Any thoughts on the merits of any of the three programs, especially things that might not be immediately obvious?
