American considering UVic as transfer for sophomore year (and question on partying)

Hello, I have been looking for schools to transfer to for many reasons, and the university of Victoria seems like an amazingly beautiful place to go to school. Im not certain how strong their science programs are, and I need to look into that more, but i am still intrigued by their co op learning program. I think regardless I will apply there. This may be a dumb question, but what is the overall reputation for partying there? I feel anymore that a "liberal" school and a "party" school go hand in hand. I know the drinking age is 18 in Canada, but Im wondering, do you have to drink, or is the party scene different in Canada?? Im sorry if this is a dumb question. At the university I am going to now, there isnt much pressure to party, and there are many who dont drink at all (like me). Im just wondering if its harder to find people like that in a country with a lower drinking age. I dont mind moderate (heck classy would be cool haha) drinking, but I dont want everyone wanting to get drunk all the time. I guess my basic question on the partying is, if I dont, can you still find a good "niche" at these places?? Any feedback on UVic and/or partying would be awesome. Thanks!
