Which is best in DC?

Define your terms

Most selective of the 3? Most fun to attend? Nicest campus? Most small classes? Best for Math / Engineering?

Neither AU nor GU has engineering (they offer a 3+2 option with Columbia), and neither are particularly known for STEM. GWU is solid but not spectacular for engineering; Idk how it is for math.

Johns Hopkins has a great engineering school, ~an hour away in Baltimore. Some parents get scared by Baltimore’s reputation & the look of some of the neighborhoods around campus, but none of the (many) students that I know/have known there have had any trouble at all, even after moving off campus as juniors and seniors. Ime, JHU is best for people who are highly self-motivated.

There are 3 other universities in DC (and really 6 in such a small city is pretty impressive): Catholic University and Howard University, which both have (not particularly highly ranked) engineering schools and UDC (University of the District of Columbia) which is still finding it’s feet as a university and probably not what you are looking for,

Why DC?
