American pre-med and medical school system / international transferring

But given the number of spaces for non-US appliance in medical schools, it would be easier for OP to get a medical degree in Korea. OP can buy a book of US med school admission stats and count the number of foreign medical school students who are admitted to US med schools every year. It’s a tiny number.

Why wouldn’t you be able to apply for residencies here like all the other international medical students do?

Are you certain that a Korean medical degree is not recognized in the US? Read about the rules for graduates of foreign medical schools here: http://www.ecfmg.org/

The medical degree that you would need to earn is found on this page: http://www.ecfmg.org/certification/reference-guide.html#k

Thank you for the link!
I checked, and it seems that I have to finish med school and go to grad school later to get a degree.
Well it seems like there are many ways to be a doctor in the US, so I’ll definitely consider the options when I apply for college later this year  thank you

You should also be aware that US medical school is insanely expensive for international students. Several med schools require that you put the full cost of tuition for 4 years in escrow before you’re allowed to begin.
