I love the idea of attending college abroad, probably in either sweden or italy (very different, I know) but i have no idea where to start a college search. Does anyone have advice/suggestions?

I would also like to know more about this.

For Italy, I pretty much put into Google "American University Rome" and look what I got:

American University of Paris!

John Cabot University in Rome.

Has anyone ever heard of the American University at Girne? It is in Cyprus. A work colleague allegedly has a doctorate from this school but I suspect it is not much more than a paper mill university.

Okay, I'm obviously very stupid... The OP is asking for schools in Sweden and Italy... Sorry!

the American University of Paris! I will never regret it.

.. that's if you want to come to France, which you obviously don't, but I think you should anyway ;)

There is also an American university in Cairo, Egypt.

Besides American University in Rome and John Cabot, there is also St. John's University (also in Rome).

Sweden will be quite a bit harder to find American universities in, but there are exchange programs and agreements. It's of course not the same as attending university there.
