American SIS (IPCR) vs Denver GSIS (Int'l Studies)

I've been accepted to AU's MA program in International Peace and Conflict Resolution off the waitlist which is exciting because the curriculum is exactly what I'm most interested in. However, I was offered no scholarships.

GSIS at Denver U has offered me $10K per year and has a growing number of conflict resolution course offerings and plenty of room for it in the Int'l Studies concentration and electives. The students I've spoken to seem to feel that being in Denver isn't a big disadvantage, though clearly the opportunity to stay in DC (where I currently live) is desirable in many ways, though I'm not opposed to moving to Denver if I can justify it.

Fortunately, I can afford the cost of grad. school (unfunded) though I've heard time and time again of course to "follow the money" because it indicates a level of commitment from the grad program that will serve you well. Perhaps this is less of an issue in IR, where it seems to me that funding is not prolific and the awards are often minimal...

Anyone have any thoughts on my situation? I have to decide quickly.

AU. Hands down. Quite frankly, you can't beat the location and the enormous - practically endless - networking and career opportunities SIS offers. Both the school and the career center are simply phenomenal.

You're absolutely right - there isn't much money available in IR, so I don't think it should be the main criterion here.

Thanks for your input, Kigali. I think you're right. I'm going to go to the SIS event on Monday and will have to make a decision that day.
