I am extremely torn between American and William & Mary. I want to major in International Relations. I know that American seems like the obvious choice for that major, but I am worried I will not have much of a social life besides social justice stuff. What do people do for fun? How bad does the boy/girl ratio really feel? Is D.C. overwhelming to live in? I am not a partier, so that’s not the type of social scene I am looking for. Do people have a lot of school spirit? Are there any interesting traditions? Anything helps <3
^^ to add, I LOVE social justice stuff and politics and everything, but don’t want that to be the only thing I do and talk about for 4 years
Although International Relations is strong at American University, it is also strong at W&M and I think W&M is an stronger overall school with a good, residential liberal arts experience. W&M also has a Washington office, which can help with internships, etc.
