Does anyone know if American University has rolling admission for Regular Decision? Or is there an “official release date” of admissions decisions for Regular Decision? Thanks!
Yes, I wondered that as well. My S applied for regular decision (because cost is going to be a factor so we couldn’t do ED), but submitted his application the first week of November. Because it is an application for regular decision does this mean that no one will even look at it until the regular decision deadline has passed?
@moklt122 I emailed the admissions counselor to ask, and her reply was that they don’t even start looking at the regular decision applications until the deadline has passed. She stated that the students would get decisions on March 26th.
aimster888, thanks for your post, although it is very disappointing news. My Daughter is finally starting to get some colleges responses, mostly positive, so I cannot see her continuing to be excited about American University if all of her other colleges provide her responses with scholarships, by the middle of February. Since American is also the MOST EXPENSIVE, maybe it is just as well…
We have now received an update from American…we should receive a decision by March 31st…probably too late at this point as other schools have already accepted and done a fantastic job enticing my OOS Daughter’s interests…only an unexpected combination of Merit and Financial Aid will bring American back into potential consideration…Good Luck to ALL…
