They’re public schools. Hence, selectivity is obviously going to be less. I agree Harvard may be better than W&M. but I think it’s arguable about Mich vs Caltech. Michigan is regarded equally well.

just wondering, why do so many of you hate on Berkeley? it offers just as good an education as harvard, yale, penn, and stanford. and don’t use the tuition excuse, because most every other place has tuition that high.

Because CC has an inherent hatred of public institutions which accept “inferior” students to study alongside clearly superior automatons in possession of 2300s, 4.0 GPAs and flawless credentials.

Closer to home, nicer looking school imo, I feel like I’d fit in better, more favorable demographics (yes, 50% asian/hispanic/latino is unfavorable in my opinion), better weather (Cali is too hot and I prefer snow in the winter), etc. See, although most of them are nonacademic, I have legitimate reasons.

lol @Penguinone, it’s just a game, you don’t need to get so worked about people bringing down Caltech for lower-ranked schools. I’m sure everyone here has a reason behind their votes, mine being that Michigan has a really good business program and Caltech doesn’t even have one.

What’s the point of that? If I wanted a list of colleges based on academics I’d go look up US News rankings or a similar list. If we did that, the outcomes would be so obviously predictable.

That was the whole point of the game this thread is based off of…
