Amherst College 2023 Early Decision Results Thread!

Did any of the ED accepted students get dates for the Admitted Students Days in April? I’ve googled it but it seems it would just be on the portal of accepted students. Our S is applying RD and I’m trying to get a gauge of when each of his Admitted Students Days might be just in case…

@homerdog Last year it was held Saturday, April 14th- Monday, April 16th. I checked with my daughter to see if anything popped up yet on her Amherst school calendar and nothing. What I recall though was how nearly all of the schools she was accepted to did not conflict, but were all around the same weeks. Coincidence or calculated I am not entirely sure, but one would hope that they want to help kids make the best decision and may work together to coordinate these events. At least maybe those schools that experience a bit more cross admits/acceptances may do this. But, I remember being concerned about it and it never was an issue.

BTW, thanks for that trip down memory lane! As I read through her itinerary for those visits I came across her acceptance email dated 3/23 and my heart soared. I wish your kid the best! Amherst is a gem and I can’t imagine my daughter anywhere else now. It sure is nice when it lives up to the Admitted Students day hype.

Hi Amherst ED crowd

Did any of your financial portal have wording in them that says “We look forward to working with you and your family during your time at Amherst”? We didn’t apply for aid and I just stumbled upon a link to the financial aid portal when checking the admissions portal today. I clicked on it, got a new email to use, and set up a password. When I logged in, it pretty much showed we did not apply for aid (which is true) and then at the bottom of the page it has that sentence above about “your time at Amherst”. Just wondering if that’s what everyone’s looked like before you got your decisions. It’s weird wording if everyone has that.

Two dates for accepted students.
April 8 or April 14-15
