I wonder if the students admitted earlier at the most qualified among the applicant pool. I haven’t heard back yet.

Anyone hearing anything on when all RD notifications will go out? The website says on or around April 1, but can that be accurate? It seems Williams has now officially announced that it’s decisions will be announced on March 15.

Anyone know a possible RD release date?

Last year they sent us an email 2 days before the decision day (Fri., 3/24/17), on Wednesday. I think their pattern is to release on the 4th Friday in March, which this year is March 23.

was anyone else’s amherst financial aid portal changed on March sixth? My fafsa was altered that day and I’m just praying for something

The wait is making me soooo anxious

Accepted Early!

@Pelincton what do you mean early?

@coolstudent22 I’m pretty late on this, but I received a letter indicating my acceptance into the class of 2022 around last week. They said they were informing me early because of strong academic record and such.

My D18 got accepted at Williams, Pomona, Wellesley, Grinnell. She is waiting to hear from Amherst. Then she will make her final decision which college she will attend to. It seems Amherst is sending acceptance notifications slowly to few at a time since early March. They follow a different method of notification from other schools. My D18 hasn’t received any yet. Just curious any particular date they notified to rest?

My son received an early letter a few weeks ago as well.

@sanjosedad Amherst sends likely letters early to a few people, but most RD admittees find out on the official day, which I think will be next Friday. Good luck!

Does Amherst send official emails declaring the RD decision date before decisions come out or are the portals directly updated?

how do you know RD decisions are coming out Fri. March 23? Everything I’ve seen still says April 1?

Friday, 3/23 “late in the day” – so will guess that means around 5 p.m. ET??

5-7pm est would be a good estimate

I think it was 3:30 last year

Yeah, I just checked and got my decision last year at 3:39PM eastern time.

Why march 23rd?
