Amherst or Emory

Hello! I was recently accepted to both Emory University and Amherst College, and I want to major in neuroscience. Ultimately, I know this may change, but my intended career is research neuroscientist (behavioral), which I know entails post-grad work (such grad/med school, phd, etc.)

They're both really good schools, but which one is best in terms of what I need to accomplish (i.e. neuroscience basis and research)?

Please and thank you.

Definitely Amherst! Excellent for research and very prestigious (more prestige than Emory for sure)!

I will challenge the above post and argue that both these schools are roughly the same prestige-wise. If somebody would like to offer a counter argument, please provide some basis for it.

I would choose Amherst if costs are similar.

Agree with UCB.
