Amount above the average

I have one more SAT Subject test to take, and am choosing between U.S. History and Math II. I am not applying to Cal Tech, MIT or any of the colleges that really want Math II, so I have a free choice.

My question is: the average for U.S. History is 599 and the average for Math II is 648. However, the tests are graded on the curve. I am as prepared now for either test as I will be, in terms of knowing the material. Does it make sense to choose U.S. History, just for the mere fact that the average score is lower, or is one of these two tests notoriously trickier, and thus should be avoided? I appreciate your wisdom. Thanks.

Don’t choose based on the curve. If you are not going into math/sciences, take the history since if will probably be more relevant to your future studies. Or pick the subject that you know you will do better in (raw score wise).
