<p>So, I'm very seriously considering self-studying for AP CS as a sophomore this year, and I was wondering which of these online courses is better. I ran into AmplifyMOOC first (many months ago), but now I just discovered and heard great things about this IMACS website. Java, I believe, was the first programming language that I started to learn, but very early on, I ditched it and moved to Python. From there, I've been learning Python and studying some CS for a few years via MOOCs and other online resources. I know the basics in Java, but I feel like with an online course and looking at Barron's CS book, I'll be good to go. Thoughts? By the way, the instructor is from my state.</p>
<p>Nevermind. I believe you have to pay for IMACS. So, AmplifyMOOC it is!</p>
