An admission officer as your boss?

Admission officers are regular people reviewing applications and making decisions on whether or not you should get in colleges. But, what if an admission officer has a different job other than reading applications, and you work for her/him? Can this be an advantage or disadvantage? I have been thinking…I think it is too weird to work for your admission officer. I am interested in your opinions. What would it be like to work for an admission officer? I don’t know, this just popped in my mind. Interesting subject for me to think about…

Another thing I thought about is the comparision of an admission officer to Santa Claus. To me, an early action/decision admission officer is Santa Claus. If you are “good”, you will get a big, fat present this Christmas. But, if you are “bad”, you will find a thin envelope with rejection in your stocking. Too bad my parents aren’t Santa Claus this year  .
