An American in a Canadian School

I actually only really got into McGill this year. At the beginning of this year..even at the university fair at the beginning of the year, I refused to even consider McGill. And then someone started to talk to me about it and I realized that I was actually very ignorant about McGill and its reputation. At that point I had really wanted to go the the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western Ontario. Since like gr. 7 I've been set on going to Harvard. Then in gr. 10 or so I discovered UPenn and really wanted to go there. Also really wanted to go to NYU because it was in New York City. I guess I really like being in a bit city. Anyway, when december came around and most of my classmates finished their SATs and applications to the States I finally convinced myself that I'm not ready to go the States. My grades are for the most part in the 90's, but I still felt that I wasn't good enough to go to an Ivy League school, so I figured that it wasn't worth it to put myself through that kinda pain, lol. Actually, I got into Richard Ivey today and I'm really happy about it, but because it was so competitive I feel kinda bad about rejecting it for McGill. Although I do feel strongly about going somewhere where you can picture yourself and feel comfortable. I think I'd fit in in Montreal and I really look forward to improving my French. I actually sorta hated the French when they wanted to separate too, but that's kind of dissolved for me too ever since Mcgill came into the picture. They seem to be pretty nice people. Actually, speaking of administration and stuff, I was at Mcgill and I had a few questions and this lady refused to answer my questions and insisted that all my questions would be answered if and when I got my acceptance stuff. Kind of annoyed me, but whatever.

crazychai- I actually got into hockey because of the Men's final Olympic game. That was the first hockey game I had watched and I've been hooked ever since. I remember that goal by Gary Roberts. I went crazy and drove out onto Yonge St. too, lol. I really miss hockey. I hope it comes back next year. It's too bad the Canadiens is such a poor team. I'm going to the first Leafs-Canadiens game in Montreal next year! That's the plan, anyway, lol.

I'll Be Right There With U!!!!
